Licensed Acupuncturist Sound Therapist Musician Trauma-Informed Practitioner

Felicia Figueroa-Carnine (they/them), is a nationally certified and licensed acupuncturist. They offer a uniquely grounded, trauma-informed, compassion-based and adaptive approach to acupuncture while integrating contemporary understandings of the nervous system, sound, and fractal intelligence into their practice.

Felicia has over three decades of musical experience and a deeply attuned presence. Their fascination with the intersection of fractals and frequency informs their approach to acupuncture, allowing them to engage the self-similar patterns of healing that repeat throughout the nervous system, fascia, and meridian networks. They believe tapping into the body’s subtle language can help release long-held patterns of pain, trauma, and emotional stagnation.

Felicia specializes in supporting individuals navigating anxiety, overwhelm, depression, grief, exhaustion, PTSD, and intergenerational trauma. Their treatments are especially effective for those experiencing tension in the upper back, neck, and shoulders, and for chronic conditions like fibromyalgia, hypertension, and post-stroke recovery. They also offer deeply nurturing support through all stages of fertility and postpartum care.

Felicia’s work is rooted in the principles of collective healing and healing justice, recognizing that individual wellness is inseparable from community care. Their approach is deeply informed by the interconnected realities of race, gender, class, culture and the broader pursuit of social transformation.

Felicia did their undergrad at Northern Arizona University and graduated from POCA Technical Institute in Portland, Oregon, with a Masters in Acupuncture. They are a Nationally Certified Diplomat of Acupuncture through the NCCAOM and have an Expert Level Sound Healer Certification from Life Changing Energy.

Known for their warmth, deep listening, and gentle clarity, Felicia holds a space where patients feel safe, seen, and are empowered in their own embodied intelligence and healing journey.

Approach to treatment Every person is unique. Therefore, their treatments should be as well. This is the exciting aspect of acupuncture and Chinese medicine. We don’t look at you and say, These are your symptoms, so take this pill the rest of your life. We look at you and ask, Why do you have these symptoms, and how can we eliminate what is causing them?

Kileen considers you as a whole person, looks at how everything is working in your body both physically and emotionally, then prescribes the best treatment plan specific to you.

Treatments are designed to release local muscle tension, allowing energy and blood to flow freely, easing your symptoms of pain. She not only focuses on the local areas of pain, but also takes a systemic approach to your wellness, incorporating distal points that help relieve mental and physical stress, nourish the body, and give you more energy while at the same time making you feel more relaxed.

There are hundreds of acupuncture points on the body, each with multiple actions and indication. She can create and change point prescriptions based on what is going on that day, and also treat multiple conditions within one treatment.

Using traditional acupuncture methods to relieve muscle tension, pain, and inflammation, but there may be underlying muscles that are weak and not supporting you properly throughout your daily activities
